We have built our firm and our reputation by providing prompt, professional service to our clients in a friendly and courteous manner. It has not occured by accident, but upon years of hard work, dedication and planning. We want to be a law firm our clients are proud of.
If you are a passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident, and the driver of the car you are in is at fault, you may file an injury claim under both the liability insurance coverage of the driver and of owner of the car you were in. If either d river did not own the car he or she was driving, you will collect compensation from the insurance company of the owner of the car before you would collect from the insurance of the person driving.
In the immediate aftermath of your accident, you may also file a claim under the medical payments coverage of your driver's and/or owner's auto policy, your own policy, or the policy of anyone who you live with and who is your relative. Medical payments coverage is not based on liability and therefore does not require any discussion with insurance companies about who was at fault. Medical payments coverage does not include compensation for pain and suffering, lost income, or anything other than actual medical bills. Medical payments coverage will only pay your medical bills up to the amount of coverage available. If you do collect under medical payments coverage and then later also receive liability compensation from that same insurance company, the amount you collected under medical payments may be deducted from your liability settlement.
